Sr PLC Engineer

Overview

Sr PLC Engineer / Controls Project Engineer working on logistics automation solutions. The role involves designing, developing, validating, and integrating Siemens TIA Portal-based PLC/controls workstreams, with ownership of planning and on-time delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead design and development of LLC software for large-scale systems using Siemens TIA Portal and a defined controls architecture.
• Coordinate across disciplines to resolve complex technical challenges.
• Define validation strategies and lead integration testing with SCADA, EM, and Safety Systems.
• Own planning, effort estimation, and on-time delivery for the complete LLC workstream.
• Develop diagnostic, simulation, and emulation tools to improve testing and commissioning efficiency.
• Represent the LLC engineering discipline in customer meetings, design reviews, and technical audits.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of experience (required as stated).
• Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal Version 17 and above for development, diagnostics, and commissioning.
• Hands-on experience with WinCC SCADA systems for process control and monitoring.
• Expertise in HMI screen design and scripting, including dynamic content and user-defined controls.
• Ability to develop PLC code from scratch using STL (Statement List).
• Strong working knowledge of Profinet, Profibus, and AS-i communication standards.
