IJP -Lead Specialist - Investments

Overview

Lead Specialist in Investments (Private Markets Analytics, Manager Research) supporting investment decision-making through data reporting and analytics for the private markets research team, from an investment due diligence perspective.

What you'll do

• Maintain entries on DealCloud (database).
• Pull files from GP Datarooms for strategy review.
• Support Investment Due Diligence (IDD) execution by reviewing materials for completeness and consistency against IDD checklists.
• Extract, clean, and standardize strategy, portfolio, and performance data.
• Perform analytics on track record, portfolio exposures, benchmarks, and peer comparisons.
• Conduct portfolio look-through support using underlying investment data where available.
• Support the operational workflow for manager reviews, re-ups, and ad hoc diligence requests.
• Maintain documentation, version control, and audit trail for diligence workflows.

What you'll need

• Minimum 12 months experience as Lead Specialist (D1) / Senior Specialist (C2).
• At least "On-Track" or equivalent rating in last appraisal.
• Not under any Performance Counselling Plan and no official disciplinary action within the last 3 months.
• Not applied for any other IJP in the last 3 months.
• Broader understanding of the different sub-asset classes within private markets.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to undertake complex data-driven projects.
• Previous experience in investment analysis or quantitative research.
• Ability to work with large datasets and perform analytics.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills to present complex data clearly.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• CFA/CAIA charter holder and/or progress towards CFA/CAIA at advanced levels.
• Familiarity with investment strategies and analytical tools.
• Proactive problem-solving attitude and intellectual curiosity.
