Overview
Implementation Engineer focused on overhead transmission line and structural design, supporting delivery and pre-sales for clients using Neara’s platform.
What you'll do
- Ingest client data and constraints to build and iterate transmission line designs in Neara.
- Spot structures and rapidly evaluate and compare route/design options using live cost, load, and clearance metrics.
- Translate customers’ transmission design assets (e.g., tower libraries and foundation drawings) into Neara projects.
- Map structural concepts (e.g., load cases and clearances) to how Neara represents and calculates them.
- Support workflow migration by comparing Neara outputs with PLS-CADD/PLS-TOWER workflows.
- Join pre-sales demos and deployment sessions to answer structural and tower-design questions.
What you'll need
- Degree in Structural or Mechanical Engineering with exposure to overhead transmission line design.
- Around 3 to 5 years of overhead transmission line (OHTL/OHL) project experience.
- Knowledge of tower behavior including wind, weight, temperature, and ice (snow regions), plus clearances and foundation concepts.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tower/foundation details, including working knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Fluent verbal and written English communication comfortable with customer interaction.
- Willingness to work hybrid across time zones (India, US, Australia) with some client-site travel for workshops and demos.
