Overview

Data Privacy Consultant responsible for supporting compliance with global data protection and privacy regulations. The role advises on privacy frameworks, conducts assessments, and implements controls to safeguard personal data.

What you'll do

• Conduct privacy gap assessments and compliance reviews against GDPR, DPDPA, and CCPA/CPRA.
• Interpret data protection laws to guide compliance strategies.
• Develop privacy policies, procedures, and governance frameworks.
• Assess third-party and vendor privacy compliance.
• Create data flow diagrams and prepare Records of Processing Activities.
• Support DPIAs and PIAs, and deliver privacy awareness training.
• Review contracts and data processing agreements for privacy alignment.

What you'll need

• 2–7 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, or information security.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, law, information security, computer science, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of GDPR, DPDPA, CCPA/CPRA, and international privacy laws.
• Expertise in encryption, pseudonymization, access management, and related privacy controls.
• Experience conducting privacy assessments, gap analyses, and audits.
• Familiarity with data governance, risk management, and IT security practices.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in MBA, law, information security, or a related field.
• CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, or equivalent certification.
