Industrial Trainee

Overview

Industrial training role within the International Accounting & Reporting team in Bangalore, supporting the U.S. GAAP accounting team or the International Reporting team. Designed for CA students seeking mandatory CA Industrial Training.

What you'll do

• Assist the team with month-end and quarter-end U.S. GAAP close processes and related departmental responsibilities.
• Participate in the accurate and timely execution of close procedures to ensure reliable financial reporting.
• Work closely with the broader corporate accounting team, shadowing experts to support monthly book closure.
• Help analyze accounts to assess financial risks and apply professional judgment to the integrity of accounting entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Draft journal entries and assist in maintaining account reconciliations consistent with corporate policies.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining reports and schedules for management and for internal and external auditors.
• Support the reconciliation process, prepare and file tax returns, and manage refund applications as applicable (GST & WHT).
• Support the team in researching complex technical accounting issues.
• Assist in control procedures under the internal control framework (SOX).
• Stay current on evolving accounting standards pronouncements and apply them in a corporate setting.

What you'll need

• Currently pursuing a Chartered Accountancy (CA) qualification.
• Eligible and actively seeking mandatory CA Industrial Training.
• Strong theoretical foundation in accounting principles.
• Highly motivated and detail-oriented, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in a global team setting.

Nice to have

• U.S. GAAP or IFRS knowledge.
