Informatica PowerCenter Developer - Senior Associate

Overview

Join PwC Acceleration Center India as an Informatica PowerCenter Developer (Senior Associate) within the Data and Analytics Engineering group, designing, developing and implementing data solutions that drive business decisions and client outcomes.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain data integration workflows using Informatica PowerCenter to support client data needs
• Implement data architecture solutions to optimize data flow and storage across cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
• Use Apache Airflow to orchestrate complex data pipelines and enhance data processing efficiency
• Design and execute data transformation strategies to improve data quality and accessibility
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address data challenges and drive innovation in data engineering practices
• Build scalable data infrastructure to support large-scale data analytics and reporting requirements
• Conduct performance tuning and query optimization to enhance database management systems
• Validate data security protocols and implement best practices for database protection
• Lead efforts in data modeling and dimensional modeling to support data warehouse development
• Troubleshoot data warehouse issues and implement solutions to maintain system reliability
• Mentor junior team members and maintain professional standards

What you'll need

• At least a Bachelor's degree
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development and data integration
• Strong hands-on experience with Informatica IICS/IDMC, including Cloud Application Integration (CAI) and Cloud Data Integration (CDI), and Informatica PowerCenter
• Experience supporting migration of ETL workloads from PowerCenter to IICS/IDMC cloud-native platforms
• Strong hands-on experience with Cloud Data Warehouse such as Snowflake or Databricks, including data modeling, optimization, and query tuning
• Working knowledge of Databricks and Apache Spark for data processing and transformation
• Experience with API integration and middleware solutions using Informatica CAI
• Proficient in Python programming to support automation, data processing, and advanced data transformations
• Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines integrating Snowflake with diverse sources via IICS
• Design, develop, and unit test complex mappings, workflows, and tasks using IICS, IDMC, and PowerCenter
• Collaborate with data architects and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications and design
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with Snowflake data objects including tables, views, stages, streams, and tasks, with focus on performance and cost optimization
• Awareness of Snowflake features such as data sharing, events, and lake-house patterns
• Experience with data security and data access controls

Nice to have

• Good to have AWS, Azure, or GCP data storage and management technologies such as S3, Blob/ADLS, and Google Cloud Storage
• Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Science, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Mathematical Statistics
• Proficiency in Informatica PowerCenter for data integration
• Utilizing Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure for cloud solutions
• Developing data pipelines and data transformation processes
• Excelling in data modeling and database optimization techniques
• Implementing data warehouse solutions using Snowflake and Databricks
• Navigating complex data engineering challenges with analytical thinking
