Overview
Design, build, and maintain engaging, scalable, and measurable information security training experiences, with a focus on eLearning, web-delivered learning, digital design, microlearning, and performance support assets. Partner with Security, GRC, IT, Legal, HR, and Corporate Communications to develop usable, accessible, and effective training that drives security awareness, policy adoption, and behavior change.
What you'll do
- Design end-to-end learning solutions using instructional design methodologies such as ADDIE, SAM, or similar.
- Develop interactive eLearning courses using LMS developer tools such as Articulate Storyline/Rise and Captivate.
- Create microlearning, knowledge checks, simulations, and scenario-based learning for security topics such as phishing, data handling, and access control.
- Translate complex information security concepts into clear, role-based, learner-friendly content.
- Apply learning science, UX, and visual design principles to improve comprehension and retention.
- Ensure learning assets align with WCAG accessibility standards and inclusive design practices.
- Package, test, and deploy courses to enterprise LMS platforms.
- Manage course structures, assignments, completion rules, evaluations, and content updates.
- Collaborate with LMS administrators to troubleshoot course behavior, reporting, and learner issues.
- Optimize content for web and mobile delivery across devices and browsers.
- Maintain version control and documentation for learning assets.
- Support enterprise security awareness programs and targeted training for engineering, HR, finance, contractors, and leaders.
- Develop job aids, one-pagers, infographics, short videos, and internal web pages.
- Contribute to awareness campaigns tied to policy launches, annual training, phishing simulations, or regulatory requirements.
- Design assessments, quizzes, and surveys to measure learning effectiveness and comprehension.
- Analyze LMS data, including completion rates, scores, and feedback, and recommend improvements.
- Iterate on content based on learner feedback, metrics, and evolving security risks.
- Document templates, standards, and reusable components to scale development efficiently.
What you'll need
- 1-2 years of experience in instructional design, eLearning development, or digital training content creation.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience developing courses for LMS delivery.
- Proficiency with eLearning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Rise, and Captivate.
- Strong digital design skills with examples of interactive or web-based learning content.
- Ability to translate technical or compliance-heavy topics into engaging learning experiences.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms and learning analytics fundamentals.
- Excellent written communication, storyboarding, and collaboration skills.
- Strong organization, version control discipline, and ability to manage multiple projects.
Nice to have
- Prior experience developing information security, IT, privacy, or compliance training.
- Knowledge of security frameworks or topics including NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, data protection, phishing, and secure behavior.
- Experience with xAPI, accessibility testing tools, or multimedia optimization.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Camtasia, Vyond, Snagit, Figma, or HTML/CSS basics for learning content.
- Familiarity with Jira, ServiceNow, or similar intake/workflow tools.
- Experience supporting audit or regulatory-driven training requirements.
