Infrastructure Cloud and DevOps Engineer

Overview

Build, maintain and automate reliable, scalable and secure infrastructure platforms and deployment pipelines that support applications and data systems, leading a team at Assistant Vice President level.

What you'll do

• Develop, deliver and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions that meet business requirements, with measurable reliability, performance, availability and ease of use.
• Identify appropriate technologies and solutions to meet business, optimisation and resourcing requirements.
• Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify, address and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities or outages, using data to drive down mean time to resolution.
• Develop and implement automated tasks and processes using software scripting and coding disciplines to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Implement secure configurations and measures to protect hardware, software and data against cyber-attacks, vulnerabilities and unauthorised access.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, architects and engineers to define infrastructure requirements, devise solutions and ensure seamless integration aligned with business objectives.
• Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and contribute to the organisation's technology communities.
• Lead a team performing complex tasks, set objectives, coach employees, and appraise performance relative to objectives.
• Advise and influence decision making, contribute to policy development, and take ownership of operational effectiveness, risk and controls.

What you'll need

• Experience with Helm.
• Kubernetes development experience.
• Experience with Terraform.
• Awareness of service mesh.
• OTEL implementation experience.
• Experience with observability and monitoring dashboards.
• AWS Cloud experience.

Nice to have

• Golang (preferred), Java or Python.
