Overview
Manage transportation and supply chain operations across assigned regions in India, including logistics partners, costs, performance, compliance and continuous improvement.
What you'll do
- Manage day-to-day transportation operations across assigned Indian regions.
- Develop transportation strategies and oversee FTL, LTL and other applicable modes.
- Manage 3PL, transporter and logistics service provider relationships.
- Monitor transportation spend, rates, lane costs and commercial terms.
- Track transportation KPIs and develop dashboards and management reports.
- Implement route, network, load consolidation and process improvements.
- Ensure transportation documentation, statutory compliance and audit readiness.
What you'll need
- 8–12 years of relevant transportation, logistics or supply chain experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, business administration, engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience with Indian logistics and transportation markets.
- Experience managing 3PL providers, transporters and external vendors.
- Knowledge of FTL, LTL, primary and secondary transportation, distribution and freight management.
- Strong Excel, data analysis, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with transportation cost management, vendor negotiations and performance management.
Nice to have
- Experience with TMS, ERP or other supply chain systems.
- Experience with transportation procurement, freight tendering or logistics RFPs/RFQs.
- Experience with digital logistics solutions or Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
