Assistant Manager, Strategic Sourcing - SCM

Overview

Supply Chain Support role responsible for working across supply chain functional areas (procurement, inventory, third-party logistics, material planning) to identify and deliver process and efficiency improvements.

What you'll do

• Manage supplies and vendors.
• Handle daily line fulfillment hands-on.
• Carry out forecasting, PO creation, scheduling, and tracking of shipments for daily/monthly plan fulfilment.
• Meet supply chain KPIs: line fulfillment, plan fulfilment, inventory control, E&O, SOTD, SPPM.
• Gain exposure to material procurement for make-to-order and make-to-stock products.
• Manage inventory.
• Foresee supplier risk and manage it.
• Drive initiatives on Cx/Lean Manufacturing, ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 14000.
• Execute engineering changes and new product launches by ensuring timely transitions of inventories.
• Monitor supplier performance to meet quality and delivery requirements.
• Resolve cross-functional issues with PPC, Manufacturing, Store, Strategic Sourcing, SSC, Quality, Logistics and Engineering.
• Assess supplier capacity and manage demand variation.
• Perform first-level analysis of old stock/E&O stock and liquidate it.
• Carry out material planning and requirements, scheduling, PO release and material tracking.
• Prepare MIS reports, ORP and presentations.

What you'll need

• Mechanical Engineer or Diploma.
• 8 to 9 years of previous experience in SCM.
• Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP etc.).
• Inventory management, Lean, Milk-run, VMI.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.
