Instrumentation Engineer

Overview

Support instrumentation engineering for power plant systems, rotating equipment, and auxiliary systems across tendering, design, procurement, installation, and commissioning phases.

What you'll do

• Provide instrumentation inputs for tenders and review customer specifications.
• Prepare instrument indexes, I/O lists, datasheets, wiring lists, cable schedules, and hook-up drawings.
• Support P&ID reviews and define instrument setpoints, ranges, and accuracy requirements.
• Coordinate signal mapping, I/O assignments, alarm limits, and DCS/PLC/ESD interfaces.
• Prepare field instrument datasheets and requisitions and support technical bid evaluations.
• Support supplier clarifications, FATs, inspections, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• At least 5 years of instrumentation engineering experience in power generation, oil and gas, energy, or similar industries.
• Knowledge of field instrumentation principles and I&C design practices.
• Knowledge of IEC, ISA, and ATEX/IECEx standards.
• Experience with DCS/PLC systems and basic signal interfacing.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary and global teams.

Nice to have

• Experience with rotating equipment or power plant instrumentation.
• Familiarity with hazardous-area equipment selection.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and proactive working skills.

• Occasional travel is required for supplier visits, FAT, and site support.
