IoT & Cloud Infrastructure Engineer

Overview

Own the technical infrastructure for field data collection, spanning wearable-device firmware, device-to-cloud communication, and AWS data pipelines for synchronized vision and tactile data.

What you'll do

• Develop firmware for wearable sensing devices, including sensor integration and real-time acquisition.
• Build device-to-cloud communication and streaming for synchronized data.
• Design and operate AWS infrastructure for multimodal data collection and processing.
• Develop Python APIs, ingestion services, and high-throughput data pipelines.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain device fleets and field capture setups.
• Debug issues across firmware, hardware, and cloud systems.
• Define requirements and contribute to testing, documentation, and infrastructure improvements.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of engineering experience across embedded systems and cloud.
• Embedded and firmware skills in C/C++, RTOS, microcontrollers, and real-time systems.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, and IoT Core.
• Software engineering experience in Python or a similar language.
• Knowledge of networking, security, performance optimization, monitoring, and logging.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant engineering or computer science field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, tactile or force sensing, wearables, or IoT devices.
• Experience building real-world data collection systems.
• Exposure to ML data pipelines or robot-learning datasets.
• Experience deploying and supporting field hardware.
• Korean or Mandarin language skills.

Details

• Remote-first role in South Korea.
• Full-time employment.
• Occasional travel to collection sites may be required.
• Work locations include Seoul, Pangyo, Busan, and Daejeon.
