Embedded Systems & Cloud Engineer

Overview

Own embedded firmware, device-to-cloud communication, and AWS infrastructure for multimodal vision and tactile data collection systems used in robotics. Work remotely as the technical owner of deployments in South Korea, collaborating with hardware, ML, and data teams.

What you'll do

• Design and maintain firmware for wearable sensing devices.
• Build device-to-cloud communication and synchronized data streaming.
• Operate AWS infrastructure for large-scale data collection and processing.
• Develop Python APIs, ingestion services, and data pipelines.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain device fleets and field capture setups.
• Debug issues across firmware, hardware, and cloud systems.
• Define system requirements and contribute to testing and documentation.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of engineering experience across embedded systems and cloud.
• Strong skills in C/C++, RTOS, microcontrollers, real-time systems, and sensor integration.
• Hands-on AWS experience with EC2, S3, Lambda, and IoT Core.
• Python or similar experience building APIs and data streaming services.
• Knowledge of networking, security, performance optimization, monitoring, and logging.
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a related engineering or computer science field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Fluent English.

Nice to have

• Experience with robotics, tactile or force sensing, wearables, or IoT devices.
• Experience with sensor fusion, time synchronization, or multi-camera capture.
• Exposure to ML data pipelines or robot-learning datasets.
• Experience deploying and remotely managing field hardware.
• Korean or Mandarin language skills.

• Location: South Korea, including Seoul, Pangyo, Busan, and Daejeon.
