IT Internal Auditor

Overview

IT Internal Auditor to support Twilio’s SOX program and operational internal audits, focused on information technology and platforms.

What you'll do

• Lead testing of key IT general controls (ITGCs) including user provisioning, access deprovisioning, quarterly access reviews, and change management.
• Assess and test IT application controls (ITACs) embedded in critical business applications, including automated validations and interfaces.
• Perform data analytics to identify trends, anomalies, and control exceptions using large datasets.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit, IT, External Audit, Security, and business units to align on audit scope, share findings, and support remediation.
• Prepare audit workpapers, process documentation, and management reports summarizing findings, root causes, recommendations, and action plans.

What you'll need

• Have a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Accounting, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Have 2+ years of experience in IT audit, SOX compliance, or internal controls testing.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements, internal auditing standards, accounting, COSO, and risk assessment practices.
• Possess excellent project management skills to drive results timely and on budget.
• Be able to execute internal audits including planning, identifying risks and controls, developing audit procedures, and writing reports.
• Have strong verbal and written communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Details

• Role is remote and based in India (Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Maharashtra, Delhi).
• Approximately 5% travel is anticipated.
