Java Backend Developer with Spring Batch

Overview

Senior Java Backend Developer role in Pune to design, develop and maintain enterprise-grade backend applications and batch processing systems, working in an Agile environment.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop and support complex batch processing solutions using Spring Batch.
• Create and optimize ETL-like data processing workflows for large volumes of data.
• Design robust batch jobs, job scheduling mechanisms, and fault-tolerant processing frameworks.
• Integrate applications with databases, external APIs, messaging systems, and enterprise platforms.
• Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize application efficiency.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
• Implement security, logging, monitoring, and exception-handling mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Owners, Architects, QA, and DevOps teams.
• Create technical documentation and ensure adherence to coding best practices.

What you'll need

• 4–8 years of hands-on experience in Java development.
• Strong expertise in Java 8/11/17.
• Solid experience with Spring Framework, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and Design Patterns.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing Spring Batch job configuration, chunk processing, item readers, processors and writers, job scheduling, partitioning and parallel processing, job monitoring and error handling, and restartability and fault tolerance.
• Experience handling high-volume batch processing.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
