Java Developer

Overview

Develop Java backend services and applications that integrate with existing point solutions. Work closely with the Engineering Manager and product team while contributing production-ready code and improving the scalability and performance of TransUnion products.

What you'll do

• Develop applications that integrate with existing point solutions.
• Apply a hands-on, test-driven approach to coding.
• Contribute high-quality, production-ready code.
• Resolve technical issues.
• Bring in innovation that improves the scalability and performance of TransUnion products.
• Design and develop microservices applications.
• Perform coding, debugging, continuous integration and continuous deployment activities.
• Use code control and code review tools.
• Collaborate with the Engineering Manager, product team and other colleagues.

What you'll need

• 5+ years’ experience in building Java backend services.
• Strong coding and debugging skills.
• Experience with backend technologies including one or more of the following: Java, Hibernate, Spring boot.
• Adept at microservices applications architecture with hands-on experience in design and development/coding.
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment tools, including Harness.
• Hands-on experience with code control and code review tools such as Git, Gerrit and Harness.
• Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
• A good team player with a high level of personal commitment and a “can do” attitude.
• 5 years experience with Java, Hibernate and Spring boot.
• 3 years experience with Vue.
• 5 years experience with cloud platforms.

Nice to have

• Experience with Vue, Spark, MapReduce, Python, GCP, BigQuery, SQL and NoSQL Datastore.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.

Details

• Location: Pune.
• Hybrid position requiring regular performance of job responsibilities virtually and in person at an assigned TransUnion office location.
• In-person work is required at the assigned office for a minimum of two days a week.
