Java Development Lead – Vice President, Software Engineering

Overview

Java Development Lead for the Fund Services Technology team within Institutional Securities Technology, responsible for designing and developing Java-based applications.

What you'll do

• Lead design, development, and delivery of scalable reporting and analytics solutions for a greenfield project.
• Architect solutions using Java, Angular, and related technologies following SDLC best practices.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements and align solutions with business objectives.
• Drive adoption of GenAI and AI-assisted development practices across design, coding, review, and testing.
• Manage stakeholder communication and proactively address project risks.
• Promote agile methodologies, automated testing, and CI/CD practices.
• Mentor engineering talent and foster a culture of technical excellence.

What you'll need

• 10–14 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Java with Spring Boot and REST APIs.
• Sound knowledge of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and SDLC practices.
• Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Working knowledge of additional languages/frameworks such as Python and SQL.
• Practical experience applying GenAI/AI tools in development, testing, or automation.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
