Java Full Stack Developer (Java & Angular)

Overview

Design, develop and maintain Java-based web applications within the Applications Development team of Marsh Risk Tech, working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using Java technologies, frameworks, and libraries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and implement software solutions that are scalable, efficient, and maintainable.
• Write clean, well-designed, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to coding standards.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues and provide timely resolutions.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
• Optimize application performance and ensure scalability.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies in Java development and apply them to enhance software solutions.
• Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Java Full Stack Developer or similar role.
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language and related frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
• Experience with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and JavaScript frameworks and Angular.
• Familiarity with database systems (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB) and SQL.
• Knowledge of web services (RESTful APIs) and microservices architecture.
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).
• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Certification in Java development or related technologies.
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks.
• Familiarity with front-end design principles and user experience (UX) concepts.

Details

• Location: Pune.
• Hybrid role: working in the office at least three days a week, with at least one anchor day per week when the full team is together in person.
