Java FullStack Developer -Emerging Lead

Overview

As a Senior Developer, develop solutions for the GTS Integration Services team, including enterprise web applications, integration services and products. Apply business and software development expertise, data analysis, system flows and design patterns to deliver creative technology solutions.

What you'll do

• Analyze, design and develop solutions for integration services.
• Deliver development tasks based on coding best practices and considering non-functional aspects.
• Participate in major technical upgrades and large technical efforts.
• Manage efforts within and outside the agile team and ensure tasks are completed successfully within deadlines and agreed quality standards.
• Understand user needs and propose optimized solution options.
• Anticipate critical issues and risks and take responsibility for resolution across the organization.
• Apply analytical and problem-solving skills while working independently and collaboratively.
• Use and integrate processes through various transmission protocols using BPM-based tools.
• Develop solutions using file transport, messaging and API integration protocols with proprietary and industry-standard formats.
• Perform system integration using bespoke, vendor and/or open-source integration software.

What you'll need

• Minimum bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience developing enterprise web applications in Java, Spring Boot or Python.
• Experience developing web applications using Java, JavaScript frameworks, Spring MVC and microservices on native and open cloud platforms using CI/CD.
• Experience with Angular and/or React.JS and Node.js.
• Experience with one or more of REST, SOAP, GraphQL, GRPC, Avro and WebSocket protocols.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQL, and/or NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with unit testing frameworks such as JUnit or Pytest.
• Work experience with build frameworks: Maven or Gradle, or Poetry, PDM or PIPenv.
• Work experience in agile teams with a clear understanding of the agile model.
• Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks of varying complexities and meet deadlines.
• Strong experience in business and software development, data analysis, system flows and design patterns.
• Strong competence in Results Focus, Business Acumen, Curiosity and Technology Level Influence/Teamwork.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with at least one of Azure, AWS, GCP and OpenShift.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and DevOps/CI/CD.
• Experience with messaging platforms such as IBM MQ, ActiveMQ, Rabbit MQ or Kafka.
• Experience with file transfer protocols such as SFTP, FTP, Samba and MFT.
• Working knowledge of Copilot, Devin or another AI code-assistant tool.
