Java Lead Engineer - Vice President - Software Engineering

Overview

Java Development Lead (Vice President level) to lead design, development, and delivery of scalable enterprise reporting and analytics solutions for Finance Technology.

What you'll do

• Lead design, development, and delivery of enterprise reporting and analytics solutions for a greenfield project.
• Drive build-vs-buy evaluation and deliver multiple POCs.
• Architect and implement software systems using Java, Angular, and modern technologies with SDLC, code quality, and performance best practices.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders and product owners to define requirements and deliver aligned solutions.
• Drive adoption of GenAI/Copilot and AI-driven development practices for automation, reporting, and productivity (e.g., review and test generation).
• Mentor and lead engineers, manage stakeholder relationships, communicate status, and address risks/challenges.

What you'll need

• 10–15 years of experience in software engineering.
• Strong background in full-stack development specializing in Java (Spring Boot, REST APIs).
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, design patterns, and modern SDLC practices.
• Proven experience building and scaling enterprise-level applications, preferably in cloud environments.
• Demonstrated experience leveraging GenAI/Copilot/AI tools for software development, automation, or reporting (including automated testing and code review).
• Prior experience in finance, investment banking, or related domains.
• Experience with automated testing and testing frameworks.
