JL4 Senior Software Engineer – Full Stack & Platform Engineering

Overview

Senior Software Engineer in Full Stack & Platform Engineering, designing, developing and maintaining enterprise-grade applications and platform services using Java, Spring Boot, ReactJS, PostgreSQL, APIs and cloud-native technologies.

What you'll do

• Design and develop scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build secure, reusable and maintainable REST APIs and integration services.
• Implement asynchronous and event-driven solutions where appropriate.
• Optimize application performance, scalability and reliability.
• Develop modern web applications using ReactJS.
• Build reusable UI components and follow enterprise design standards.
• Ensure responsive, accessible and high-performing user experiences.
• Collaborate with UX and Product teams to deliver intuitive solutions.
• Design and optimize PostgreSQL database schemas.
• Develop efficient SQL queries, indexing strategies and performance improvements.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency and application reliability.
• Support database migration and data validation activities when required.
• Contribute to High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documentation.
• Participate in architectural reviews and technical design discussions.
• Drive engineering best practices, coding standards and design patterns.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to the platform architecture.
• Design and maintain internal and external APIs.
• Build integrations with enterprise applications and third-party platforms.
• Implement API security, authentication, authorization and monitoring standards.
• Promote reusable integration patterns and shared engineering frameworks.
• Implement logging, monitoring, tracing and alerting solutions.
• Build and maintain observability dashboards and operational metrics.
• Support proactive incident detection, troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Improve system health, reliability and operational excellence.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
• Automate testing, code quality checks, security scans and deployments.
• Support Infrastructure-as-Code and DevOps best practices.
• Enable frequent, reliable and low-risk production releases.
• Work closely with Product Managers, Architects, Engineering Managers and Platform teams.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and engineering reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team capability growth.
• Support production issues and continuous improvement initiatives.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5-8 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Java and Spring Boot development.
• Solid experience building REST APIs and microservice architectures.
• Experience developing frontend applications using ReactJS.
• Strong PostgreSQL database design and performance tuning skills.
• Experience creating HLDs, LLDs and solution design documentation.
• Good understanding of observability, monitoring and operational excellence.
• Experience building and supporting CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins or similar).
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred).
• Experience with Git and modern software development practices.
• Experience with observability platforms such as Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, Application Insights, Splunk or similar.
• Understanding of distributed systems, scalability, security and resiliency patterns.
• Experience contributing to HLD, LLD, architecture reviews and technical governance.
• Strong problem-solving, ownership and communication skills.
• Ability to work across the full software development lifecycle.
