Junior Data Engineering Analyst

Overview

Join the Data Engineering team as a Junior Data Engineer supporting global supply chain functions including planning, logistics, sourcing, manufacturing, procurement, and customer service. Build and maintain data pipelines, models, and internal tooling that support operational and analytical decision-making.

What you'll do

• Design, develop, and maintain ELT/ETL pipelines on Snowflake using SQL, Snowpark (Python), and related tooling.
• Build and optimize data models in the enterprise data warehouse (EDW) supporting supply chain reporting and analytics.
• Develop and support Streamlit-in-Snowflake applications for internal business teams.
• Write clean, well-tested SQL for data transformations, aggregations, and quality checks.
• Collaborate with supply chain analysts and business users to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot data quality issues, and implement automated alerting.
• Participate in code reviews, documentation, and knowledge sharing within the team.

What you'll need

• B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 1+ years hands-on experience with SQL, including complex queries, window functions, and CTEs.
• 1–2 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related data role.
• Working knowledge of Python, including data manipulation with pandas or similar.
• Familiarity with at least one cloud data warehouse: Snowflake preferred; BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks acceptable.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including star/snowflake schemas, slowly changing dimensions, and incremental loads.
• Basic understanding of version control (Git).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to data accuracy.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake features including stages, streams, tasks, dynamic tables, and Snowpark.
• Exposure to Streamlit or similar Python-based app frameworks.
• Familiarity with orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Snowflake Tasks.
• Domain exposure to supply chain processes including order management, logistics, serialization, and inventory.
• Understanding of data governance and access control patterns.
