Junior Engineer NDT

Overview

Junior Engineer NDT will execute and inspect aerospace hardware in NDT operations at the FCOE site.

What you'll do

• Carry out inspections in NDT per internal QMS procedural requirements.
• Work closely with manufacturing, production and Quality system teams to develop and implement AS 9100 procedures and systems and support end-to-end production quality flow-downs.
• Work and get qualified in cross-functional quality cells and work with HPT teams on daily yield improvement analysis, EHS and process improvisation projects.
• Contribute to continual improvement through audit programs and assessment of various non-conformances.
• Drive corrective actions identified through Root Cause Analysis.
• Inspect production hardware, attend to customer complaint analysis and perform stock verifications where required.
• Provide technical analysis and evaluation, manually and automatically, for assigned inspection processes.
• Provide training and support to shop operations, design and manufacturing to assure effective Quality Assurance.
• Maintain awareness of the latest inspection techniques and processes and their beneficial and limiting aspects for optimum application.
• Pursue continuous improvement for quality and cost reduction projects.
• Actively contribute to non-conformance event management and analysis.

What you'll need

• Diploma in engineering.
• 1.5 Years + of experience in the aerospace or aviation engineering industry.
• Minimum documented OJT in NDT per NAS 410 norms to qualify as a Level 2 in CR/FPI.
• Strong hands-on experience in performing NDT operations.
• Strong hands-on experience in process control checks.
• Strong hands-on experience working per GE-Aerospace-specific customer P specs, third-party and other international regulatory norms, and visual inspection of finished and purchased product norms.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in NDT FPI with OJT log records.
• NAS 410 L2.
• Working knowledge of Aerospace Prime requirements.
• NADCAP.
• NAS 410 L2.
