Junior Software Engineer with Accounting Experience (Chile)

Overview

Junior Software Engineer role with accounting experience, working on software solutions for financial processes in a fintech environment.

What you'll do

• Assist with design, development, and installation of software solutions.
• Write code and document functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software for financial processes.
• Develop new features as an integral member of the software development lifecycle.
• Use accounting background to identify gaps and improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Provide support and consulting on software systems usage and ensure compliance with project plans and standards.

What you'll need

• Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Solid understanding of reconciliation, reporting, and compliance in financial operations.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Go).
• Database familiarity such as MySQL or PostgreSQL, including relational storage/retrieval.
• Backend API development experience.
• Experience with software engineering tools, development methodology, and release processes.
• Demonstrated experience working with Claude or equivalent large language model tools.
