What you'll do

• Assist in the design, development, and installation of software solutions.
• Develop, write code, and document software functionality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and maintain software solutions for financial processes.
• Build and deliver new features as part of the software development lifecycle.
• Use accounting background to improve automation and reconciliation workflows.
• Evaluate and deploy software tools, processes, and metrics.
• Support and consult on usage of software systems.

What you'll need

• 3-7 years of experience (mid-level development role).
• Prior experience as an accountant or financial analyst.
• Solid understanding of financial operations including reconciliation, reporting, and compliance.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python, Java, or Go) and familiarity with MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with backend API development.
• Comfort leveraging AI tools such as Claude to enhance productivity, research, and communication.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
