Overview
The Junior Web Developer maintains and enhances showpad.com and the marketing web stack by building pages, fixing bugs, implementing front-end experiments, and conducting quality assurance. Reporting to the Lead Web Developer, the role supports seamless web development execution and growth toward greater independence within defined workstreams.
What you'll do
- Build and update web pages, templates, landing pages, and gated content using existing CMS and component libraries.
- Fix bugs and work on assigned tickets according to the defined ticket backlog.
- Implement front-end changes for A/B testing and other experiments as instructed.
- Conduct thorough QA on pages and changes before publishing, checking functionality, responsiveness, and accessibility.
- Verify tracking and tag implementation on new pages according to the Lead's specifications before publishing.
- Collaborate with the development agency on assigned tasks while maintaining the standards and priorities set by the Lead.
- Document workstreams and promptly flag anomalies, bugs, or potential regressions to the Lead.
- Support marketing teams using self-serve page-building tools within established guidelines and escalate issues as needed.
What you'll need
- 2 to 4+ years of experience in building and maintaining marketing websites.
- Proficiency in WordPress, including page building, ACF fields, and basic troubleshooting.
- Experience with Next.js/React and proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for implementing changes.
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS with Tailwind, and JavaScript for working with existing components.
- Familiarity with Google Tag Manager for tag implementation and verification.
- Experience with Git/GitHub workflows, including branches and pull requests.
- Attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership regarding QA processes.
- Excellent written communication skills for ticket updates and escalations.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Core Web Vitals/Lighthouse and performance troubleshooting.
- Experience with Marketo Forms or similar marketing automation tools.
- Exposure to Weglot or other localization platforms.
- Basic understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG).
