Lead AI Engineer

Overview

Lead AI Engineer to provide technical leadership for the design, architecture, and delivery of enterprise AI and agentic AI solutions within Mastercard’s AI Center of Excellence.

What you'll do

• Architect, design, and implement enterprise AI, machine learning, and Generative AI platforms and applications.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of production AI solutions through deployment, monitoring, optimization, and lifecycle management.
• Define enterprise AI engineering standards, reference architectures, reusable frameworks, and best practices.
• Build cloud-native AI platforms using microservices, Kubernetes, APIs, event-driven architectures, and distributed systems.
• Establish and evolve MLOps and AgenticOps with CI/CD pipelines, governance, observability, evaluation, security, and operational excellence.
• Architect and deliver Generative AI solutions including LLMs, RAG, AI agents, vector databases, and model orchestration.

What you'll need

• Extensive experience designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-scale AI/ML solutions in production.
• Strong software engineering expertise using Python.
• Deep experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, APIs, containerization, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.
• Proven experience implementing enterprise MLOps and AgenticOps practices (deployment, monitoring, governance, continuous delivery).
• Hands-on experience with modern AI frameworks including PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, LangChain, LangGraph, or LlamaIndex.
• Experience architecting and deploying agentic AI applications using LLMs, RAG, vector databases, AI agents, and model evaluation frameworks.
