Lead AI Engineer

Overview

Lead AI Engineer role in Bangalore to help build Messaging 3.0 by designing and delivering production-grade AI agents for patient communication.

What you'll do

• Design and build end-to-end AI agents covering LLM orchestration, tool integration, evaluation, guardrails, observability, and reliability.
• Lead technical direction and mentor engineers through influence.
• Establish the first 90-day foundation for the AI-driven Intelligent Messaging platform, including core/supporting services and Temporal workflows.
• Take the Notification AI Agent and Cadence Outreach AI Agent to production.
• Build next-best-action intelligence so agents act autonomously and reliably toward message outcomes.
• Ensure the new architecture continues to support legacy monolith and microservices use cases.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years building AI agents.
• Hands-on Java and Spring Boot experience in production.
• System design and software architecture experience, including trade-offs and decision-making.
• Production experience deploying and operating services on Kubernetes.
• Experience with Temporal (or equivalent durable workflow orchestration framework).
• Hands-on experience with LangGraph, LangChain, or an equivalent agent framework.
• Production AWS experience, including making AWS architecture decisions.
