Lead Avionics Hardware Engineer

Overview

Lead avionics hardware engineering for Cabin Electronics systems, covering electronic product lifecycle development and in-service support for Airbus aircraft programs.

What you'll do

• Contribute to concept creation for new electronic equipment and provide inputs to specification and planning.
• Organize and review electronic equipment development within aviation certification processes.
• Generate required design data for electronic products.
• Develop cabin/systems electronic devices including digital and analog design through prototype verification.
• Create and evaluate documents for supplier selection and monitor subcontractors.
• Perform functional and environmental qualification testing (e.g., EMC, vibrations, temperature) per aviation requirements.
• Create and verify documentation for certification and production of equipment.

What you'll need

• 8–10+ years of experience in electronic product development.
• Awareness of current electronic technologies, architectures, standards, and market trends.
• Hands-on experience with schematic generation tools and requirement management tools such as DOORS.
• Knowledge across requirement generation, detailed design, schematic generation, board bring-up testing, and functional testing.
• Knowledge of certification according to RTCA DO-254.
• Experience with qualification testing according to DO-160 or similar standards.
• Understanding of FPGA development lifecycle including source code design and test-bench based verification.
