Lead Backend Developer

Overview

Lead Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems and microservices using Python for marketing analytics and real-world evidence analytics products.

What you'll do

• Architect, develop, and optimize backend components, microservices, and RESTful APIs using Python frameworks.
• Implement real-time and asynchronous processing using WebSockets and Redis.
• Lead backend development by delegating tasks, coordinating delivery, and ensuring high-quality features.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring and code reviews while enforcing best practices.
• Collaborate with data engineers, frontend developers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and define technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex production and development issues, including performance bottlenecks.
• Contribute to system design and performance optimization using Docker and Kubernetes.

What you'll need

• Minimum 7+ years of professional Python backend development experience.
• Expertise in Django and FastAPI.
• Track record designing RESTful APIs, microservices, and real-time applications with WebSockets.
• Strong experience with Redis caching and PostgreSQL relational databases, including query optimization and schema design.
• Proficiency with ORM libraries such as SQLAlchemy or Django ORM.
• Advanced experience in Linux and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration.
