Senior Backend Engineer (Golang)

Overview

Senior Backend Engineer (Golang) to architect and build the core backend infrastructure for Endor Labs' SaaS products, leading large-scale technical projects and mentoring team members.

What you'll do

• Architect and build the core backend infrastructure for SaaS products.
• Lead and contribute to large-scale technical projects, ensuring scalability, reliability and performance of systems.
• Design, architect and build features end-to-end while working closely with Product Management and the distributed Engineering team.
• Drive innovation, make critical architectural decisions and lead the implementation of cutting-edge technologies.
• Participate actively in external technical forums, conferences and open-source communities.
• Mentor and coach team members, sharing expertise and promoting best practices.
• Use observability best practices to ensure the product and platform have the best reliability and availability for customers.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree in engineering with 6-8 years of experience building scalable backends for product/SaaS companies.
• At least 3 years of experience in Golang programming with a focus on microservices/distributed architecture.
• Practical experience designing APIs with one or more frameworks (gRPC, ReST, GraphQL, Thrift, etc.).
• Ability to build and design technical solutions from scratch, with code and documentation that can serve as examples of coding best practices.
• Scalable distributed system experience: understanding of micro-services and domain-driven design, load balancing, horizontal/vertical scaling, and stateless architectures.
• Knowledge of data structures and an eye for building architectures that scale and extend easily for longevity.
• Apply data-driven techniques to evaluate and propose architectural choices.
• Ability to discuss tradeoffs between architectural choices to influence groups toward the right direction.
• Ability to enjoy working in a fast-moving environment with evolving requirements.
• Ability to solve problems creatively and independently in uncharted or unfamiliar territory.
• Practical experience troubleshooting distributed systems and solving root causes.

Nice to have

• Experience with gRPC.
