Software Engineer - Java Backend Developer

Overview

Lead backend development for high-performance systems using Java, while mentoring team members and driving technical decisions.

What you'll do

• Lead the backend development team and drive technical decisions.
• Design and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java.
• Mentor and guide team members to improve skills and delivery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including frontend, QA and DevOps.
• Ensure best practices, code quality and technical debt management.
• Drive innovation and improvement in backend systems.

What you'll need

• 3-6 years of experience in Java backend development.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring and microservices architecture.
• Experience leading teams and driving technical decisions.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP or Azure.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with reactive programming, such as Reactor or Akka.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging systems, such as Kafka.
