Lead Developer(NextJS/NodeJS)

Overview

Lead Developers act as the primary client point of contact, combining strategy and hands-on engineering to deliver successful software consulting and delivery. You will also lead strategic AI-first software delivery and guide/coach your team.

What you'll do

• Champion best practices like clean, reusable code using TDD, pair programming, and design patterns.
• Oversee software consulting and delivery end-to-end from ideation through production.
• Lead strategic integration of AI technologies across the software development lifecycle.
• Advocate continuous delivery practices to deliver quality software and customer value early.
• Design solutions, select technologies, and make pragmatic tradeoffs within constraints.
• Collaborate to build features, design prototypes, and embed UX specifications.
• Utilize DevSecOps tools and practices, advocating “shifting security left.”

What you'll need

• 10+ years of full-stack development experience with Next.js and/or Node.js.
• Led software development teams using Agile, Lean and/or Continuous delivery approaches.
• Explore and advocate emerging AI technologies with thoughtful strategic adoption.
• Knowledge of TDD, continuous integration, pairing, and infrastructure automation.
• Experience influencing others and advocating technical excellence.
• Ability to translate business needs into software requirements and execute a technical vision.
• Mentor less experienced peers and sustain delivery in ambiguous situations.

Details

• Must be a Singapore Citizen or PR of Singapore due to client security clearance.
• May be expected to work from Thoughtworks office or a client’s office for all five working days.
