Engineering Manager / Technical Lead, GDP / Information Services Program (ISP)

Overview

Lead the next evolution of shared government platforms within Singapore GovTech’s GDP Information Services Program (ISP) as an Engineering Manager / Technical Lead.

What you'll do

• Lead, coach, and grow a cross-functional engineering team.
• Own technical direction and delivery for long-term platform evolution and rapid product delivery.
• Define technical vision and architecture for government-wide platforms.
• Ensure security and compliance by evaluating and implementing solutions to meet whole-of-government standards.
• Raise engineering standards across system design, code quality, and automated testing.
• Champion CI/CD, containerization, infrastructure-as-code, and operational ownership using metrics.

What you'll need

• 7+ years of experience engineering, scaling, and delivering production-grade web applications with strong backend focus.
• Experience operating as a Technical Lead or Engineering Manager in an agile environment.
• Experience aligning engineering squads and managing vendor deliverables or hybrid teams (noted as a strong plus).
• Track record designing, architecting, and operating scalable distributed systems.
• Strong production-tested skills in Node.js and TypeScript / Go.
• Modern CI/CD pipeline and automated testing expertise.
• Hands-on experience building web applications and APIs using React or Next.js.
