Overview
Lead Engineer responsible for Heavy Duty steam turbine and generator inquiry-to-remittance (ITR) scope within the Services Agile value stream.
What you'll do
- Own assigned ITR opportunities and projects across inquiry, order, and outage execution.
- Handle technical analysis, scope definition, scheduling, and product customization for customer requirements.
- Act as primary point of contact for ITR-related matters with interfacing teams.
- Deliver technical execution with quality and timeliness aligned to best practices and customer expectations.
- Escalate/consult on complex issues and drive them to closure.
- Identify process gaps/inefficiencies and support rollout of improvement initiatives.
- Develop expertise in ST/GEN bill-of-materials and outage support through hands-on work and mentorship.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (or equivalent with significant relevant technical experience).
- 6-8 years of overall work experience.
- 2-4 years of direct experience in Parts Engineering, Customer Application Engineering, or similar roles.
- Solid technical background in (or willingness to develop expertise in) steam turbine and generator systems, bill-of-materials, and outage support.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and coordinate across functional teams.
- Strong oral and written communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
Nice to have
- Experience with ITO/OTR process, CM&U, or similar project management methodologies.
- Problem-solving capability including root cause analysis, issue resolution, and deviation management.
- Familiarity with process improvement concepts like Lean or Six Sigma or workflow automation.
- Comfort with ambiguity and willingness to learn from mentorship and feedback.
- Customer focus and collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
