Overview
Lead Engineer – Instrumentation & Controls responsible for engineering, design, and execution support of instrumentation and control systems for Steam Power projects.
What you'll do
- Execute Instrumentation & Controls engineering scope for Steam Power projects (Boiler, Steam Turbine, Generator, ESP, FGD).
- Develop and review control system architecture, instrument index, I/O lists, cause-and-effect diagrams, control narratives, and functional logic documentation.
- Prepare and validate control-related deliverables including P&ID review inputs for controls and instrumentation, alarm/trip matrices, and logic diagrams.
- Define technical requirements for field instruments and support control philosophy development and logic definition.
- Coordinate interfaces between package systems and plant-level control systems (DCS/PLC) and align design interfaces with internal engineering teams.
- Support commissioning and field issue resolution by analyzing control system behavior, instrumentation issues, and logic performance.
What you'll need
- Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of total experience in Instrumentation & Controls engineering for boiler, steam turbine, generator, ESP, FGD, or similar applications.
- Experience in design, selection, and engineering of instrumentation and control systems for one or more listed plant areas.
- Experience producing engineering documentation for power plant or large industrial projects.
- Strong execution experience with DCS/PLC platforms like Yokogawa and ABB, plus field instrumentation and control panel/interface engineering.
- Knowledge of international codes, standards, and engineering practices for instrumentation and control systems.
