Mechanical Engineer

Overview

Mechanical Engineer to support safe, reliable, and efficient operation of mechanical equipment and utility systems in a chemical plant.

What you'll do

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance.
• Analyze equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Support installation and commissioning activities.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and drive corrective actions.
• Conduct root cause analysis and drive process improvements.
• Maintain and manage mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, blowers, gearboxes, agitators, fans, centrifuges, vacuum pumps, cooling tower fans).

What you'll need

• 4-6 years of experience in maintenance or mechanical engineering roles.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of maintenance and reliability practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong knowledge of the SAP PM module.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (B.E./B. Tech).

Nice to have

• Professional engineering certifications or specialized technical training.

Details

• Coordinate with production, PSM, EHS, and maintenance teams.
• Participate in HAZOP, PSSR, MOC, and risk assessments.
• Ensure safe work permit system implementation and support audits and regulatory inspections.
