Pitch Bearing Lead Design Engineer

Overview

Lead design activities for the Pitch Bearing Engineering team for the OneWind organization, developing execution plans for complex deliverables with limited oversight.

What you'll do

• Provide design expertise and FE analysis for the pitch bearing component.
• Lead NPI design support, including RCA/Quality, validation, and total lifecycle cost initiatives.
• Collaborate with and guide cross-functional teams to drive rotor and turbine lifecycle cost optimization.
• Drive technology needs and lead efforts to bring new technology into products.
• Apply GD&T standards to create and review technical drawings and specifications.
• Lead testing activities to resolve design validation/field issues and PAC activities.

What you'll need

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or similar.
• Strong problem identification and solving ability with demonstrated independent judgment.
• Ability to work in a cross-matrixed, global organization with limited oversight.
• Strong interpersonal skills, leading and influencing skills, and communication skills (oral and written).
• Demonstrated ability to independently analyze and resolve complex problems.
• Demonstrated project management skills to develop execution plans for complex deliverables.
• Experience with GD&T and fundamental technical drawing guidelines.
