Overview
Senior Utilities & Maintenance Engineer responsible for safe, efficient, and compliant operation of utility systems and electrical infrastructure across the plant.
What you'll do
- Recognize potential hazards during critical maintenance and coordinate safety requirements via work permits, LOTO implementation, and JSA reviews.
- Plan and monitor predictive, preventive, and shutdown maintenance for electrical systems and utilities.
- Operate and perform preventive/breakdown maintenance of HT systems, HT panels, transformers, DG synchronization, and electrical distribution networks.
- Handle, troubleshoot, and maintain utility systems including compressors, boilers, HVAC (AHU, chillers), and water systems.
- Monitor electrical parameters and energy consumption to ensure GMP and regulatory compliance.
- Execute maintenance schedules, maintain documentation, and ensure audit readiness (CDSCO/GMP compliance).
- Perform RCA for breakdowns, coordinate with vendors, and ensure adherence to safety practices and permit systems.
What you'll need
- Electrical Supervisor License as per statutory requirements.
- Diploma or Graduation in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3+ / 6+ years of experience (as stated in the posting).
- Working knowledge of PLCs, controllers, and basic automation systems for troubleshooting and monitoring.
- Working knowledge of automation concepts including interlocking and earth testing.
- Functional skills such as alarm management, building management systems, energy management systems, and equipment maintenance.
- Resident skills including compliance management, CAPA, lean methodologies, root cause analysis, and workplace safety behaviour.
