Lead Engineer - Systems Engineering

Overview

Lead instrumentation and control systems engineering for steam turbine control, protection, process instrumentation, and turbine supervisory instrumentation on nuclear power plant projects.

What you'll do

• Lead multidisciplinary engineering activities across the project lifecycle.
• Direct design, execution, verification, and delivery of turbine I&C systems.
• Develop specifications and implement field instrumentation and control principles.
• Drive technical decisions, design reviews, risk assessments, and issue resolution.
• Interface with customers, suppliers, commissioning teams, and engineering organizations.
• Develop engineering schedules and resource plans.
• Track deliverables, risks, milestones, progress, and lessons learned.

What you'll need

• 12+ years of experience in Instrumentation and Control.
• 5+ years of experience in technical leadership.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Instrumentation and Control, Electrical, Electronics, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, control systems, sensors, electronics, electrical wiring, cybersecurity, and nuclear safety culture.
• Understanding of functional safety, redundant architectures, and single failure criteria.
• Experience with turbine operation, control, protection, trip systems, and balance-of-plant interfaces.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in nuclear power, conventional power, or critical industrial process applications.
• Experience with GE Mark VIe control systems.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
