What you'll do
- Work closely with customer system and vehicle architects to understand and derive system requirements
- Define functional requirements, technical requirements, robustness and reliability requirements for the product
- Conduct system failure modes and effects analysis (SFMEA) and design failure modes and effects analysis (DFMEA)
- Model system-level and vehicle-level use cases and maintain a version-controlled summary of traceability
- Derive system state and mode flow machine and behavior of the product and its effect on the vehicle for each state and mode
- Prepare logical and technical architecture with component owners, ensuring internal alignment among each component owner
- Prepare signal interface specifications for each derived signal interacting between logical and physical components
- Hands on with implementing the V-cycle
- Review and communicate requirements with HW teams, SW teams, test teams, and customers
- Mentor, hire, and train the system engineers
What you'll need
- Bachelor's or Master's in electronics or similar engineering with 10+ years of experience
- Minimum hands-on experience of system engineering for 3 products from requirement phase to production
- Good understanding of automotive architecture, electrical and electronic systems within EVs and HEVs
- Basic know-how on battery management systems
- Hands-on with any automotive function development
- Good understanding of interfaces such as CAN, LIN, SPI, I2C, microcontroller architectures, DC-DC converters, electronic control units, relay drivers, solid state relays/PDU, automotive ethernet, UDS diagnostics protocol, and OBD
- Team player with good cross-functional work abilities
- Capable of defining the process for handling requirements with the help of project management and technical management
