Lead Engineer - Target India

Overview

Lead Engineer who serves as the technical anchor for an engineering team supporting a product, owning application architecture for functional and non-functional needs.

What you'll do

• Apply and maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies in specialized domains.
• Evaluate new technologies for viability, maintainability, and cost of ownership.
• Lead testing and debugging strategy at the platform or enterprise level.
• Initiate research and proof-of-concept activities for new technologies.
• Lead service design, lifecycle management, and total cost of ownership.
• Monitor workflow and risks, mitigating risks and removing obstacles.
• Lead disaster recovery expertise and disaster recovery planning.

What you'll need

• 4 year degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation.
• Strong domain-specific knowledge of Target’s technology capabilities and key competitors’ products.
• Broad and deep expertise in multiple computer languages and frameworks.
• Expertise in analysis and optimization of system capacity, performance, and operational health.
• Experience building highly scalable distributed systems.
• Experience developing solutions for data lifecycle management.
