Lead Engineer-Thermal

Overview

Lead Engineer focused on power optimization, thermal solution development, and performance management for high-power CPU-based server-class SoCs.

What you'll do

• Enable, analyze, and optimize power features.
• Manage CPU and system performance and idle states.
• Define thermal limits and evaluate cooling solutions.
• Support power-thermal co-optimization during silicon bring-up.
• Execute laboratory power and thermal measurements.
• Correlate simulation results with laboratory data.
• Collaborate with silicon, platform, BIOS, firmware, and cooling teams.

What you'll need

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of related experience, or a master's degree and 2+ years, or a PhD and 1+ year.
• Programming experience in C, C++, Java, Python, or similar languages.
• Experience with power and performance management for CPUs, GPUs, or accelerators.
• Knowledge of thermal limits, heat sinks, vapor chambers, cold plates, and TIM selection.
• Experience with power breakdown measurements and thermocouples.
• Experience with power-virus and workload-based testing.
• Degree in computer science, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field.
