Overview

Lead Engineer for a Wealth Management App, providing hands-on technical leadership and taking ownership of complex products and systems.

What you'll do

• Lead technical design and execution of major products, features, and initiatives.
• Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure.
• Stay hands-on via coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and production issue solving.
• Make architecture decisions and manage technical trade-offs.
• Break ambiguous product/technical problems into clear execution plans.
• Set high standards for code quality, testing, security, observability, and production reliability.
• Monitor production, investigate incidents, resolve root causes, and improve reliability post-release.

What you'll need

• Significant experience building and shipping production systems.
• Deep expertise in one or more areas such as backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure.
• Strong system design and architecture skills for complex/high-scale systems.
• Proven experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership to engineers.
• Comfort reviewing code, debugging complex issues, and working with production systems.
• Ability to explain complex technical decisions and influence engineers across teams.
