Overview
Lead Enterprise Architect for a senior embedded role within Merkle’s Digital Product Engineering (DPE) practice on a top client account.
What you'll do
- Own end-to-end enterprise architecture across the engagement and ensure alignment to the approved roadmap.
- Design and govern multi-platform enterprise solutions anchored in the Adobe ecosystem.
- Lead uplift of critical digital properties using Adobe Experience Manager as the foundational platform.
- Design scalable enterprise integration patterns across APIs, data layers, and middleware.
- Provide delivery excellence with architecture involvement at sprint level, dependency mapping, and risk mitigation.
- Lead and mentor multi-disciplinary delivery teams and translate architecture decisions to executive stakeholders.
- Identify and incorporate emerging AI/agent capabilities into the delivery roadmap with DPE’s Technology Lead.
What you'll need
- 15+ years of hands-on enterprise architecture and solution delivery experience.
- Working delivery experience across Salesforce, middleware/integration platforms, cloud infrastructure, and data platforms.
- Working understanding of how agentic AI, LLM-powered services, and intelligent automation integrate into enterprise architectures.
- Track record delivering large, complex, multi-year global SI or product engineering engagements ($10M+ scope) from architecture through go-live.
- Experience designing and governing enterprise integration architectures (APIs, event-driven patterns, ETL/ELT, middleware orchestration).
- Fluency in enterprise delivery methodologies including Agile at scale (SAFe/Scrum of Scrums) and waterfall-hybrid models.
- Whiteboard and present architecture to a CTO, with strong organizational and presentation skills.

- Work: Hub-office guidance indicates in-office work three days per week or two days per week for employees based in Los Angeles.
- Salary range: $136,000 - $180,000 annually.
