Lead Full Stack Engineer

Overview

Lead the architecture and development of an Agentic App Builder platform on top of the Zeta Marketing Platform (ZMP). Own platform work end-to-end from requirements through production operations, with an 80% backend and 20% frontend focus.

What you'll do

• Design and build the Agentic App Builder platform, including services, APIs, and developer tools that enable teams to create, deploy, and manage applications on top of ZMP.
• Build intuitive frontend experiences in React/TypeScript for application builders.
• Ship continuously through CI/CD with observability, resilience, and reliability built in from the start.
• Embed AI/LLM capabilities into the platform to enable agentic application development and intelligent automation.
• Use AI-assisted development tools as a core part of the workflow to accelerate delivery while maintaining high quality.
• Collaborate with teams across Zeta to gather requirements, align on integration patterns, and ensure the platform meets real-world application needs.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical initiatives, and help establish engineering practices and standards for the platform.

What you'll need

• 8+ years of software engineering with a track record of building and operating platform-level systems.
• Deep proficiency in at least two of Python, Java, Ruby, or Node.js.
• Solid React/TypeScript skills on the frontend.
• Understanding of what it takes to build developer-facing platforms in the age of AI.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services.
• Comfort operating in multi-tenant, compliant environments.
• Experience with continuous delivery, test-driven development, and agile practices.
• Current use of AI-assisted coding tools and excitement about building platforms that leverage agentic workflows.
• Strong communication skills and ability to thrive on cross-team collaboration.
• Ability to work with product owners to define problems, propose architectures, build alignment, and deliver.
• Tech stack includes Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, React, TypeScript, Ant Design System, Figma APIs, REST, Thrift, AWS, Kubernetes (EKS), S3, MySQL, Snowflake, Aerospike, DynamoDB, ScyllaDB, Cursor, Claude Code, CI/CD, TDD, Agile, and You Build It You Run It.

Nice to have

• Experience building agentic developer platforms, internal tooling, or app builder/low-code systems.
• MarTech or AdTech domain knowledge, including DSPs, bid stream processing, or data-intensive platforms.
• Familiarity with MySQL, Snowflake, Aerospike, DynamoDB, and S3 data stores.
• Experience designing plugin architectures, SDK/API frameworks, or extensible platform systems.
