Job description

Overview

Lead the technical authority for mechanical loads analysis (MLA) suitability conclusions for a designated business segment, acting as the primary technical contact for external certification bodies and Independent Engineers while driving standardization of the MLA process.

What you'll do

  • Oversee the technical delivery of suitability conclusions, managing deep technical discussions on load limitations, root causes and risk mitigations with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and oversee the integration of new models, tools and methods into the business-wide MLA process, ensuring analytical approaches satisfy global standards (IEC, DiBT, METI).
  • Drive the simplification and standardization of best practices in engineering analysis, validation and design execution to ensure consistent performance across the product line.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for external certification bodies and Independent Engineers, addressing complex inquiries on MLA methodology and defending technical conclusions with data-backed rigor.
  • Apply commercial logic to technical proposals, collaborating with Sales, Commercial Ops and Product Line teams to align MLA outputs with project economics such as Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and life extension operations.
  • Partner with NPI and R&D teams to advance technical capabilities and implement design-to-field feedback loops.
  • Lead the resolution of high-impact technical issues and provide final-level review of technical documentation for compliance with quality and safety protocols before release.
  • Champion "Boundaryless" engagement to identify gaps in existing MLA workflows and lead enterprise-wide initiatives to improve throughput and analytical precision.
  • Provide expert-level coaching and mentorship to PB-level and LPB2 engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and rigorous peer review.
  • Translate complex technical findings into actionable business insights for senior leadership.

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Electrical Engineering (or a related field).
  • Significant, demonstrated experience in Loads Assessment or wind-related engineering and technology.
  • Proven record of managing complex technical projects and engaging with external stakeholders or certification bodies.

Nice to have

  • Advanced degree.
  • Strategic mindset: ability to break down complex issues, determine multiple courses of action and enable data-driven decision-making.
  • Systems thinker with a product-level mindset and a deep understanding of how turbine control strategies and wind conditions impact mechanical loading.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences and influence project outcomes.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills with a proven track record of mentoring and fostering team growth.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in advancing internal initiatives and driving standardization across the business.

Details

  • Location: Bengaluru.
  • Relocation assistance: not provided.
