Lead Engineer - Mechanical Component-1

Overview

Lead mechanical engineering for airfoil components and related systems across gas turbines, steam, generators, and accessories. Own component design, analysis, validation, reliability improvement, and technical delivery.

What you'll do

• Lead mechanical design and stress, modal, and lifing analysis.
• Own mechanical hardware and perform validation testing.
• Evaluate thermal growth, manufacturing variation, and assembly stack-up.
• Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams on subsystem optimization.
• Lead root cause analyses to improve reliability, quality, and yield.
• Own milestones through technical reviews and NPI processes.
• Coach team members and collaborate with Principal and Chief Engineers.

What you'll need

• At least 6 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering.
• Specialization in mechanical, design, or applied mechanics.

Nice to have

• 2–3 additional years of relevant engineering experience leading key programs.
• Experience with ANSYS Classic or Workbench.
• Experience with NX.
• Programming experience with Python or Excel VBA.
• Familiarity with AI-driven tools and Lean principles.
• Strong communication and collaborative problem-solving skills.
