Gen AI Validation Engineer, Officer (Hybrid)

Overview

Gen AI Validation Engineer (Officer) within Citi’s Model Risk Management AI Review and Challenge Group, responsible for independent review and challenge of AI/ML non-model objects across the lifecycle.

What you'll do

• Perform independent review and effective challenge of AI/ML non-model objects across their lifecycle.
• Ensure adherence to applicable policies, procedures, templates, and testing guidance.
• Engage stakeholders including AI/ML sponsors/developers, MRM Governance, AI-CoE, Internal Audit, and regulators.
• Support requirements for internal/external regulatory exams.
• Develop, enhance, and validate methods for measuring and analyzing AI/ML risk across risk types.
• Support design, development, delivery, and maintenance of risk programs, policies, and practices.
• Contribute to strategic cross-functional initiatives within model risk management.

What you'll need

• Advanced degree (Master’s and above) in mathematics, statistics, computer science, engineering, Data Science, or AI/ML.
• 4+ years analytics experience in financial services or related industries.
• Minimum 2 years in AI / Generative AI / Agentic AI / Machine Learning (ML).
• In-depth technical knowledge of common AI/ML techniques.
• Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
