Lead Software Engineer

Overview

Lead Software Engineer (Level 5) responsible for leading technical development across product, team, or domain, including ownership of delivery and application health. You will also be accountable for technical custodianship and governance activities.

What you'll do

• Lead technical development at product, team, or domain level and take ownership of delivery and application health.
• Provide software engineering output while sometimes owning overall tech delivery and app ownership.
• Participate in code reviews and team ceremonies to align on planning, goals, prioritisation, and impediments.
• Promote reuse and identify opportunities to automate repetitive manual tasks.
• Support incident root-cause analysis and technical custodianship governance for technical assets.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and share knowledge as an SME.
• Use DevOps principles and quality assurance approaches; support automation, testing, and debugging with tools.

What you'll need

• Hold Certified Lead System Architect (CSSA) certification with at least 5 years of experience in Pega.
• Have experience with Pega 8.x in either Pega Business or Pega Technical Environment.
• Have experience building REST APIs.
• Have strong understanding of Pega architecture and supporting infrastructure.
• Have experience supporting Pega applications on cloud-based architecture.
• Know Pega application frameworks such as CLM, Customer Service, and Smart Disputes.
• Experience designing Pega applications from scratch, including class and organizational design, plus Pega guardrails, Pega Cloud, Security, and Monitoring.
